2 month internship at
MOHA by Geetanjali
Overview
A two-month internship at Moha by Geetanjali, a silver jewellery brand known for its handcrafted, nature-inspired designs— primarily focused on two briefs: the design development of a toe-rings, and a jewelry inspired by Marathi jewelry styles. Design research, moodboarding, and concept ideation were undertaken, followed by sketching and exploration of forms aligned with the brand’s contemporary interpretation of Indian craftsmanship.
Final Outcome
A range of toe-rings and a tessellation based silver necklace was designed and developed in the course of 2 months. An in-depth study was conducted on traditional Marathi jewellery, tessellation patterns, and jewellery ergonomics, contributing to a more nuanced design approach.Through this experience, a deeper understanding was developed of how traditional jewellery forms can be reimagined for modern audiences.
